Interstellar notes

I thought interstellar was an amazing movie and made me rethink the concept of time as a whole. I like how all of the little clues throughout the movie all made sense in the end and was able to come full circle. For our interstellar inspired time travel video we decided to make a video traveling to the past to warn citizens of Earth to take actions and listen to medical professions when the Neuroencephalo virus arises. This broadcast of us will be streamed to citizens technology like iPhone, computers and Tvs. We thought this was an important concept because it explains how stubborn people were with COVID and even if a new deadly virus was to arise tomorrow people still wouldn't listen or follow medical advice which could ultimately lead to half the population being wiped out. This relates to my major wanting to be a health care professional. There is only so much healthcare professionals can do for people when they dont want to listen or take diseases serious. Ava and Hailey related there majors to our project through psychology with mental illness caused by quarantine and toxicology with the virus.

5th Element: Fashion Show

I enjoyed watching the futuristic movie 5th element. I particularly enjoyed the fashion that was shown in the movie. I thought it was minimalistic but very futuristic. Leeloo had few outfits but the ones she wore were incredible and vibrant. I also really liked Zorg’s outfit, it showed men’s work wear but also had a shiny green color that made it different than what we see today especially on men. This is what inspired me for my fashion outfit. I wanted to use menswear and reconstruct it into a women’s look and repurpose items like a tie. I went to the thrift store not having an exact idea of what I was doing and I came across 2 gorgeous purple stri[ped men’s button downs, one specifically that had a green tint to it which made it unique. I then found a large lavender skirt that I cut up to make floating sleeves. I found a children’s vest that I would have my model fit into and wear. The Matrix: Conclusion

After hearing the Matrix debate whether to take the red pill or blue pill, I stand with wanting to take the blue pill. I could not take the red pill knowing that Morpheus could be lying or untrustworthy. I understand wanting to now the truth of the world you live in and have free will but how can you truly have free will if you dont know the person giving it to you. Taking the blue pill is not ignorant but rather smart, this allows you to maintain the life you have and attempt to figure out the truth if you decide to. I don't think everyone would be ready to know the truth that Morpheus had to offer. Or even worse, some people may think they are ready and end up like Cypher, resenting everyone around him and trying to go back to the Matrix at any cost. I also know I might regret taking the red pill when I found out that everyone was chosen as "the one" and we are all the same and might not make any actually difference. First Class and About Me

I am a senior at UT and very excited to takes this class. My hometown is Syracuse NY and I am an allied health major with a minor in marketing. I have interest in the medical field. My hobbies include watching movies with friends and shopping/thrifting. I love fashion and making crafty things. I chose this class because I think science fiction is so interesting, personally I love watching movies and shows that make me feel like I am in a different place or part of the show. I also am interested in artificial intelligence and how our future can change so drastically everyday from it. I really enjoy watching movies but I do not love writing, I am more of a math and science person who enjoys learning visually. I expect to challenge my mind during this course and push myself to think in new creative ways. I do think many movies show how our future can end up and what our technology is evolving towards.
